A Year Later
One year. One year ago today we closed and locked the doors on this shop temporarily, not really knowing what was going to come next. Like many of you at the time, we were scared, worried, and yet very determined to get through the uncertainty of a global pandemic.
With a staff of two, we started by delivering shoes to your door even if that meant getting in the car ourselves to make it happen. We built a new website from scratch to make it easier to shop online. When we could not open the doors to the public, we patched crumbling walls and repainted the store. When importing shoes became challenging, we changed the mix of merchandise in the shop, pivoting to make our offerings more relevant.
Through it all, you, our loyal customers, family and friends, continued to support us as we navigated through the uncharted territory of operating a small retail business during COVID-19.
We are starting to see the light. Though things are not quite what they used to be yet, we are so, so grateful to have come this far. A special thank you to Katie, who has stuck with us through thick and thin, and to Paris for giving up her weekends to come hang with us at re-souL.
Thank you, dear customers and friends, for continuing to shop with us. Your love and kindness to our little boutique has meant and continues to mean so much to us. We would not be here, a year later without you. ~ Maggie + Legh
