This week is our re-souL birthday! It all started when I (Maggie) decided to take a leap of faith, leave my corporate job of 14 years and open up a shoe store. ( That was 18 years ago. ) I was burnt out from non-stop travel and corporate politics and I really felt the need to take the risk of entrepreneurship. My husband (Legh) and I had only recently been married and god bless him, he wanted in. So six months later, he joined me full-time and we then became not only partners in life but in business too. We've been doing this retail shoe shop thing for 18 years, can you believe it?!
In these years we have made good friends from people who were first our customers. We have had the privilege of working with some awesome folks, who have left and are doing great things like her and her, just to name a couple.
We have been able to be involved in our Ballard community, communing and commiserating with our small business neighbors. We created our very own house brand shoe collection and still sell it today. We were able to acquire another shoe store in University Village.
So we just want to say thank you! For we know that we would not be here if it wasn't for you. Thank you for giving us another year to bring you awesome shoes to wear. We truly are grateful and feel blessed to be here!
